Scanning Tour 2016 - ASIA
FEHRL identified the opportunity to broaden exchanges with other parts of the world, in particular, for the first time with Japan and South Korea. As a result, a Scanning Tour was scheduled for 23 November - 1 December 2016, on the topic of ‘Resilience of Infrastructure’. The locations which were identified were Seoul, Korea, and Osaka, Kobe and Tokyo, Japan. Based on existing connections with the Asia region, the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB) were Programme Managers for developing this Tour together with FEHRL. The participants were representatives from FEHRL and FEHRL institutes, and PIARC. They comprised Thierry Goger (FEHRL), Caroline Evans (ARRB), Jean-Bernard Kovarik (IFSTTAR), Boerre Stensvold (NPRA), Jürgen Krieger (BASt), Fabien Palhol Cerema) and Maria Van den Hark (RWS).
