Description

Short technical description: The PRIMAL consist of a trolley with a receiver and a separate laser beam transmitter. The trolley has three support wheels and one measuring wheel. The size is approximatley 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 meter and it is battery operated. The tranmitter is placed 10 meters before the trolley and the beam is pointed along the road aiming at the trolley receiver. The trolley is placed at a 10-meter section start and begin remotely controlled to run towards the laser beam. The receiver on the trolley is connected with the measuring wheel that follows the road surface. The distance between the road surface and the laser beam is registered every 20 or 40 millimeter and are sent wireless to the control computer. This is done for 10 meter at a time.
