Description
Short technical description: Field coding of defects in sewer pipes, manholes and inspection chambers. Visual inspection of manholes, inspection chambers and sewer pipes which are man-accessible (diameter greater than 1,200 mm) or not (diameter between 200 and 1,200 mm). For non-accessible pipes a video camera mounted on a remotely controlled self-contained carriage is used to record defects. The inspection data is transferred in the "xml" format BEFSS (Belgian Exchange Format for Drain and Sewer Survey) developed by BRRC and available to all network managers on its website.
