Description

Short technical description: The test method determines the air purification performance of photocatalytic materials by exposing a specimen to 1 ppm NO concentration under illumination of UV light. The test method is based on the ISO-standard 22197-1 (2007), which is a flow through method: are with a concentration of 1 ppmV NO flows over the specimen with contoled light intensity, relative humidity, flow intensity and flow volume. The decrease in NO at the outlet determines the air purification performance. Major upgrades: Following the development of the European standards put in place by CEN TC 386, a new testing method using a continous stirred tank reactor in stead of a differential flow reactor will be developed. Construction date: 2005 Last upgrade: 2010
