Description

Short technical description: VICTORIA works as a reaction mass exciter. The unit is transported to the point of excitation by the flat bed trailer and then lowered to the structure (e.g. bridge, dam, soil, etc.). Excitation direction: vertical, horizontal, in a 45° angle. Maximum excitation force: without dowelled connection 15 kN, with dowelled connection max. 25 kN. Frequency range: 0 – 80 Hz, possibility to use continuous frequency sweeps, variable sweep velocity. Performance of the hydraulic cylinder: the available piston stroke is 250 mm, the piston velocity is 0,56 m/s and the piston force is 35 kN. Unique features: Most vibration exciters cannot keep the exciting force constant over the whole frequency range. But some vibration generators (e.g. VICTORIA from AIT) can keep it constant to some extent. Possibility to excite harmonic as well transient signals with a forced- or distance controlled system Latest research: LESSLOSS, NERA Construction date: 2001 Last upgrade: 2008 Specified type of facility: Mobile vibration generator Specified research application: construction area
