Description
Short technical description: Laboratory simulation of the long-term ageing process of bituminous binders. A film of binder is heated to a preset temperature in a rotating cylinder while injecting a flow of oxygen, for a specified time. At different intervals during the test, samples are taken to monitor the development of binder characteristics. This laboratory process simulates the slow ageing of the binder during the service life of the road. Relevant standard: NBN EN 15323.
