Description

Short technical description: Field measurement of the transverse evenness and, consequently, of the rut depth of road pavements. The device is mounted on a multifunctional vehicle capable of measuring various geometric characteristics (gradients, crossfalls, radii of curvature) in addition to the transverse profile of the pavement. Profiles are recorded continuously - at constant intervals (min. 1 m) and a speed generally ranging between 70 and 80 km/h - using ultrasonic sensors spaced 10 cm apart. Precision: 1 mm. Method of measurement: CME 54.25.B (catalogue of measurements of the Walloon Region of Belgium). Construction date: 1980 Last upgrade: 0
