CEDR Transnational Road Research Programme: Call 2012 is now open

Call published by the National Roads Authority (NRA) covers Recycling, Noise, Safety and Climate Change.

 

CEDR Transnational Road Research Programme: Call 2012 is now open and can be found at http://www.etenders.gov.ie/search/show/search_view.aspx?ID=MAY335197 (published by the National Roads Authority (NRA). This Call for Proposals is launched by the National Roads Authority (NRA) of Ireland behalf of the Conference of European Directors of Roads (CEDR). The content of this Call for Proposals was developed by CEDR members to fulfil the common interests of various European road administrations. The participating countries are Belgium (Flanders), Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and UK. The NRA will take on the role of Programme Manager: this will include organising the Call for Proposals, programme co-ordination, financial governance and general project management.

The topics being addressed are:
 
•        Recycling: Road construction in a post-fossil fuel society
•        Noise: Integrating strategic noise management into the operation and maintenance of national road networks
•       Safety:  Safety of road workers and interaction with road users and use of vehicle restraint systems
•        Road owners adapting to Climate Change
