MEP keynote and experts confirmed for OPTIMISM final conference

MEP and industry, academic and policy experts now confirmed for panel sessions at OPTIMISM project final conference on 16th September 2013.

 

Register today for the OPTIMISM project's final conference on Monday 16th September 2013 at the Universitaire Stichting, rue d'Egmont/Egmontstraat 11 in Brussels, Belgium. This event will gather leading transport mobility stakeholders to gain in-depth awareness of the findings of the OPTIMISM Consortium. You will also have the opportunity to discuss with experts the strategy development, technologies and methodologies for integrating and optimising transport systems for sustainable mobility.
 
Moderated by the journalist Mr Terry Martin, the event includes a dedicated poster session where members of the project consortium will present key findings on;

  • Methodology development for harmonising travel statistics, including guidelines and recommendations;
  • Key factors of the transport system and important trends affecting the future of mobility and transportation in Europe;
  • Macro & micro impact modelling of demand, supply and technology trends;
  • Estimated decarbonisation potential of proposed co-modality/ICT solutions including FP7 projects
  • Issuing recommendations on principles of sustainable mobility for policymakers and transport planners

The conference coincides with European Mobility Week being organised by the Directorates-General for the Environment and Transport of the European Commission.

Participation in the OPTIMISM final conference is free of charge. For a small number of participants, there exists the opportunity for their travel expenses and stay in Brussels to be reimbursed. Michael Cramer MEP to give keynote speech 
Michael Cramer, German MEP of the Greens/European Free Alliance party and member of the Transport and Tourism Committee, will give the keynote speech at the conference.
