PILOT4SAFETY & BALTRIS projects to hold joint workshop on 27th February 2012

Workshop on "Road Safety Personnel: the importance of European standardised training and certification and their positive impact on civil society" to be held on 27th February 2012 at EESC.

The workshop will be held on 27th February 2012 from 10.00 - 16.45 at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), 99 rue Belliard, 1040 Brussels.

BALTRIS (http://www.baltris.org/) is a project within the European Union’s Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013 to promote regional development through transnational cooperation whose specifi c objective is to develop tools and build capacity to better manage road infrastructure safety in the Baltic Sea Region.

PILOT4SAFETY (http://pilot4safety.fehrl.org/) is a DG MOVE project that kicked off on 1st June 2010. Six partners from across Europe are working together to contribute to the implementation of coherent safety procedures for the European road network, based on Directive 2008/96/CE of the European Parliament and of the Council.
