Among the current major #transportation means, #rail is deemed to be one of the most #sustainable and less #polluting, depending on how clean is the electricity that fuels it. Developing an #EU extensive #railway network can drastically improve #emissions, as well as enhance EU connectivity and #mobility.
#EUfunded TRA VISIONS fosters EU #research on mobility by organizing a Young Researcher Competition, dedicated to university-level students (BSc, MSc and PhD), on #transport. The competition is divided in five modes, among which is Rail. During the last Edition in 2020, the Rail Mode winners presented outstanding projects that could drastically improve railway #safety.
