Short description
The SOLUTIONS Network After three years serving as a catalyst for innovative and green urban mobility solutions between cities across the globe, the SOLUTIONS project is now evolving into a new network on sustainable urban mobility helping to achieve the goals set in the Paris Agreement, the New Urban Agenda and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Related to the SOLUTIONS Network is the Urban Electric Mobility Initiative (UEMI), a platform initiated by UN-Habitat and the SOLUTIONS project and launched at the UN Climate Summit in September 2014 in New York. The UEMI aims to help phasing out conventionally fuelled vehicles and increase the share of electric vehicles (2-3- and 4-wheelers) in the total volume of individual motorized transport in cities to at least 30% by 2030. The UEMI Action Platform delivers tools and guidelines, generates synergies between emobility programmes and supports local implementation action.
