Changes to two Research Coordinator group members

New Research Coordinator for DRD and Norwegian Research Coordinator changes organisation

 

Finn Thøgersen has taken over as Research Coordinator (RC) for the Danish Road Directorate (DRD) since the departure of Gregers Hildebrand. He graduated from the Technical University of Denmark in 1991 (M.Sc. Civ. Eng.) and worked for three years at the Technical University with various research projects on durability of concrete and other building materials. In 1994 he joined the Research and Development Department of the DRD. Within DRD, Finn has been in charge of several research projects in the areas of soil and base stabilisation, concrete pavements, bridge concrete durability, road condition surveys and road material innovations. He has participated in more than 10 international research projects under the EU framework programmes and is currently chairing the Scoping Study team for the Infravation (Infrastructure Innovation) programme.

 

Carl Thodesen, meanwhile, the Norwegian RC for the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA), SINTEF and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) has moved organisations as of 1st October 2013 from one group member SINTEF to the other - NTNU. He uis now the Department Head at the Department of Civil and Transport Engineering and can be contacted at carl.thodesen@ntnu.no.
