Special Session on cost effective improvement of railway infrastructure will discuss SMARTRAIL project.

The SMARTRAIL project will hold a Special Session at TRA2012 on "cost effective improvement of railway infrastructure" on Tuesday April 24th 2012 from 18:05-19:20, along with the MAINLINE project. See http://www.traconference.eu/special-session.html for more details.

Presentations during the special session will be made by key individuals from each project, who will describe the background to each proposal, where the projects’ aims agree and differ, the planned methods of co-operation between both projects and the expected final results. In addition, the results of the initial data gathering will be presented, with the intention of stimulating discussion amongst TRA participants about the work plans and details of any additional data that should be considered.
