About the job

Scientific Officer

The Scientific Officer is responsible for the management the FEHRL Working Groups (WGs) that have been launched in 2023 to coordinate the research activities within FEHRL. More precisely, the Scientific Officer’s tasks are:

  1. Support the collaborative R&D&I projects’ acquisition
  2. Screening and mapping of potential R&D&I calls for the respective WGs.
  3. Organization of consultations within the WGs for the preparation of FEHRL Projects.
  4. Development of projects (formation of consortia, development of research concepts, coordination of partners input, writing proposals)
  5. Identify the skill gaps that need to be overcome to be competitive in R&D&I.
  6. Knowledge exchange
  7. Populate the FEHRL WGs by intensively liaising with the FEHRL Institutes, and the external partners and stakeholders to form 3 networks of experts
  8. Continuous R&D & knowledge exchange within the FEHRL WGs on the basis of the FEHRL Projects, the Institutes Projects, the FEHRL Inititiatives and relevant R&D&I activities form external partners/stakholders
  9. Foster Innovation
  10. Leverage the promotion and the interoperability of the FEHRL Network of R&D&I Infrastructures
  11. Advise R&D&I Programs
  12. Coordination of the collaborative activities between the FOREX and the WGs
  13. Development of recommandations for the Framwork and the Work Programmes
  14. Develop Position Papers (Scientific/Policy)
  15. Provide the administrative support for the 3 FEHRL WGs (agenda, minutes, organization of meetings).

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree
  • 3+ Years’ experience in R&D&I activities and management
  • English proficiency
  • Strong organization & problem-solving skills

Contract duration : 18 months
