FEHRL member CDV celebrates 60th anniversary with safety conference

BRNOSAFETY 2014 Conference and 60th Anniversary held on 15-16th September and CDV wins Excellence in Road Safety Award

 

The BRNOSAFETY 2014 Conference and the 60th Anniversary of FEHRL member CDV (Czech  Transport Research Centre) was held on September 15-16th in Brno, Czech republic. The partners of the event were the Research Institute of Transport (SK) and Trade Fairs Brno. The event was attended by a total of 170 people (125 external participants and 45 CDV staff). The evening event in Trade Fairs Brno was attended by 100 participants.

CDV would like to thank these special guests: Deputy Minister of Transport Karel Dobeš, European parliament representative Olga Sehnalová, ECTRI President George Giannopoulos, ETSC Executive Director Antonio Avenoso, FEHRL Executive Chairman Bojan Leben, BASt Representative Rashid Urmeew, KFV Representative Klaus Rosina, VÚD Director General ubomír Palák.

CDV wins prestigious road safety award
In May this year, European Commission Vice-President Siim Kallas presented CDV with the "Excellence in Road Safety Award" that they had won for their commitment to safe and smart roads. This yearly award, created by the European Road Safety Charter, rewards organisations that have made a good, sustainable and realistic commitment to road safety.
