Dr Thierry Goger, Secretary-General of FEHRL, presented during his keynote speech at the CAPSA conference 2019 (held on 13-16 October 2019 in Sun City - South Africa) some of the findings of automation-supportive infrastructure and expected impact of deploying connected automated vehicles.

The 700 attendees got high interest in some expected impact, such as the need to have a minimum penetration rate of 80% of CAVs in order to observe the positive effect on traffic, or the need to ensure a continuous pavement performance in order to guaranty safety requirements when deploying platooning of vehicles.
